2) Discover close to home at UCLA, consistently ranked as one of America’s top 25 universities.  With its ideal location in suburban Los Angeles, UCLA is the perfect setting for a pre-college program.

Summer Discovery UCLA helps students prepare for transition from high school to college, offering a pre-college program that combines academics, athletics, and activities, giving high school students a great introduction to college life. Students can choose from Business, Sports, Screenwriting, Acting and Leadership.

Including . . . 

UCLA's Anderson School of Management, who is offering a brand new opportunity for high school students, the Entrepreneurship & New Product Development course. This 5-week course will cover topics such as innovation, product, business models, developing new tech-based products, and more.

High school students - you already use technology on a daily basis, now you can learn how to use technology in the business world. Because whether or not you will work in tech in the future, you'll need to master the skills and vocabulary used in the tech industry.

Experience John Hopkins University in Berkeley! Join admission representatives from Johns Hopkins University for a group presentation St Mary's College High School on May 23rd, 2017, from 7-9pm. Learn about academic programs, student life, admission, and financial aid at these institutions. There will be time for questions and to meet representatives at the end.
If it peaks your interest and you can travel to Boston, you can sign up for a Summer Visit program and explore John Hopkins even more!
Students can attend info sessions about Pre-Health, Humanities, Business and Women in STEM at the Homewood campus.

How about Summer School at Santa Cruz? As part of UC Santa Cruz's Summer Session, high school students who have completed their sophomore or junior year with a GPA of 3.0+ can earn UC transferable credits at 50% off the normal tuition rate -  a great deal for any student thinking of attending a UC. 
Students can choose from over 100 different classes across thirty departments including Biology, Literature, Environmental Studies, Music, and more.
Available session include:  June 26th - July 28th & July 31st - Sept 1st, 2017.

Summer is FAB in Boston exploring Architecture at Wentworth's Institute of Technology! SummerFAB offers a four-week “design and build” program for students entering grade 10-12.
SummerFAB participants who successfully complete the program and later enroll in Wentworth's Architecture program can use SummerFAB to replace a four-credit elective course in Architecture. Graduates of summerFAB are also eligible to receive a one-time $2000 tuition scholarship toward their freshman year tuition at Wentworth.
Study Session takes place July 10th to August 4th

and help develop implementable ideas that empower people.
This summer the focus is on design ideas that help students with physical disabilities.
A great opportunity offered by the DC Design and Hack Foster Care at the Stanford d.school - June 19-25.

Join the Movement with Global Scholar in Washington!  Global Scholar empowers aspiring young global citizens with the knowledge, skills and community to address the biggest global issues facing our generation and our world!
All sessions based at American University in DC and include: seminars and meetings with experts, leaders, embassies and think tanks; exploring global challenges; workshops on essential leadership and social change skills; and exploring careers in international affairs.  
Available sessions:  July 2-3 & 16-27 (for juniors/seniors) & July 16-22 (for freshmen/sophomores)

Foothill College is hosting a week-long summer CyberCamp for middle and high school students!

This free camp is open to all incoming 7th-12th grade students and no experience is required. The camp features five days of cybersecurity training, led by the community college faculty and staff. Training modules include:  hacking prevention, system hardening, access control, and system protection. The program ends with team competitions and awards.

Camp details are: July 24th to 28th, 9am-3pm, at Foothill College in Sunnyvale
