The course focuses on the study of the basic laws and relationships that govern physical events or phenomena, particularly the interaction of matter and energy. Topics include mechanics, heat, light, sound, electricity, magnetism, atomic and nuclear physics. A demanding homework schedule accompanies this class, and a strong mathematics background is required. Prerequisite: Completion of, or concurrent enrollment in, Algebra 2 or higher math.
