ATHLETICS UPDATE FOR SPRING 2021 - AS OF JANUARY 21, 2021
Below you will find the following:
1) The BVAL Approved Plan for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. This plan addresses guidelines, season start dates, contest dates, cancellation dates, and the color tier associated with each sport to participate in.
2) Campbell Union High School District's Conditioning Guidelines for Student Cohorts Meeting on Campus - Winter 2021.

California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) - Information and Statement on July 20, 2020, regarding the 2020-21 Sports Calendar and Bylaw Modifications:
CIF - Central Coast Section (CCS) - Information and Press Release on July 21, 2020, stating that education‐based athletics for the 2020‐2021 school year will have a modified season of sport: www.cifccs.org/landing/index.
Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL) - Announcement pursuant to CIF Statement regarding new schedules for all sports: bval.org/.
Air Quality Index (AQI) - We will monitor the AQI and if it reaches over 150 we will cancel all extended optional practices: gispub.epa.gov/airnow/.
Extended Optional Workouts - Fall 2020:
Students have the option to participate in optional workouts on campus under strict guidelines set in place by the County and CUHSD. At this time, the Football and Girls Volleyball teams are holding workouts. Interested Students may review the workout schedules, safety guidelines, and required parent opt-in and health forms, in the Athletics Department.
July 20, 2020 Announcement from CIF:
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) released a statement on July 20th, 2020, regarding Athletics for the 2020-21 school year. Following the CIF announcement, the CIF-Central Coast Section (CCS) and Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL) also made announcements regarding the state of high school athletics during the COVID-19 pandemic, and guidelines/calendar changes in seasons, practices and play during distance learning. Below is a summary of the recent announcements. We will update our school community with new developments as we receive them from CIF, BVAL and CIF-CCS.
