"My name is Chasity Knight and I bring you love from the east coast all the way from Charlotte, NC. I'm really excited to be in your great community! I began my undergraduate studies at Benedict College in Columbia, SC and received a BA degree in History. My graduate studies began at Columbia College in Columbia, SC and I received my MA degree in Divergent Learning Education. After leaving Columbia, SC, I ended up in Charlotte, NC where I attended UNCC as a graduate student to complete my teaching license in middle grades social studies.
My teaching experience list is pretty long but I will give you the short version. I have taught students from Pre-K through High school. I even had the pleasure of teaching students from South Africa during the summer months.
Why am I in California? Well my husband works for Google and I had to resign from my old teaching position early. The move was a tough one because I wore so many hats! I left my old position as the school’s Teacher of the Year. With me I bring this great honor, hard work, and dedication to serve the Del Mar High community. I hope that you have enjoyed learning about me and see that educating others is my passion. I look forward to meeting you and your family this year."
