About Me

My name is Ms. Tanase and I am excited to be a part of your learning journey!

I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Neuroscience and have been working with students ever since. It was my passion for watching students grow, helping them discover more about themselves, and fostering a love of learning that led me to teaching. I later received my M.A. in Teaching and teaching credential at UC Irvine where I learned how to bridge educational research and pedagogical strategies with my practices in the classroom. I am excited to use these tools to be the best educator possible for the students of Del Mar High!

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, baking, art, and spending time with my dogs. I am always open to trying new (preferably dog-friendly) trails, art mediums, and recipes so feel free to offer suggestions!
