My name is Ariel Sarver Dukellis and I am an English teacher and English Department Co-Chair at DMHS. This year, I teach English 2, English 2 ICAP, and I.B. English Language and Literature Year 2. In addition, I advise the Creative Writing Club, which meets every Friday at lunch in Room 6.
My educational background: I graduated from UC Davis with a double major in English and French and a minor in Linguistics, then earned my Master's of Education at Stanford University. I started teaching in Campbell Union High School District in the fall of 2012.
In my free time, I enjoy playing clarinet with the Cupertino Symphonic Band, reading, traveling with my husband, and knitting. Ask me about the time I knit and felted a lifesize pumpkin.
My favorite thing about teaching is that every day, every class, with every student is an opportunity to learn something new - I look forward to hearing your stories and helping you develop your own independent voice!
