About Me
Hello, my name is Josephine Vieira and I am new to teaching at Del Mar High School this year!
I actually graduated from Del Mar High School in 2011. I went on to play basketball at Ohlone College and earned a scholarship to California State University of Monterey Bay, where I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Kinesiology. After school I worked at Boynton High School for the past five years and finally made the jump to become a teacher. Now here I am, back at my old high school teaching!
Outside of school I enjoy being out in nature. I enjoy working out, playing basketball, going on hikes, listening to music and trying new foods at different restaurants. I was the assistance Girl's Varsity Basketball coach at Branham High School for the past 4 years and now I am the Girl's Varsity Basketball assistant coach here at Del Mar.
What I enjoy about teaching is building new relationships with my students and colleagues as well as collaborating to create an engaging, learning environment for all students. I believe knowledge is power and I hope to spread as much knowledge as I can in my time here at Del Mar.
"The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.'
