About Me

My name is Abigail Nicholson. This is my second year teaching but my first year here at Del Mar! I am very excited to join the Del Mar family and be apart of this amazing community. 

 

I grew up in Fresno, CA and then traveled down south to receive my B.S. in Chemistry and my teaching credential at UC Irvine. I love chemistry! I had the opportunity to be in a Nuclear and Radiochemistry laboratory in which I got to see and use UCI's research reactor (see right). I hope to bring my love and excitement of chemistry into the classroom with my students.  

 

My partner and I love to spend our free time going on hikes, playing card games, and trying to keep our many plants alive. We recently camped at Lassen Volcanic National Park where we hiked to the top of Lassen Peak! (see right)

 

I am excited to share my love and knowledge of chemistry with my students this year and empower them to take that knowledge and use it outside of the classroom in their own lives!
