About Me

Hello! My name is Sean Crossno and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. My students can call me Sean. I have two degrees from UC Santa Cruz: a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a Masters in Education. I have a hospitality/tourism/recreation credential and 18 years of experience in the food service industry. I am very excited to be teaching Culinary Arts and Foods at Del Mar. My favorite thing about teaching is being in community with people who are learning with me--I learn from students as much as they learn from me! Outside of teaching, I enjoy backpacking, reading, learning, building things, gardening (I grow very spicy peppers!), and offering mutual aid to my community. As an educator, I am always learning and I am excited to see what this year holds for all of us!
