COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY WITH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

The United States Youth Volleyball League is looking for high school students to volunteer as assistant coaches.  Students can earn 3-4 community service hours per week, while learning how to play volleyball. This opportunity is also valuable on a resume or college application.

The season starts the week of April 1st, 2020.  Interested students may apply by:

  1. Contacting Haidy Velasquez (USYVL Program Coordinator) for more information at haidy@usyvl.org or at 1-888-988-7985, ext. 234.
  2. Completing the online volunteer application at register.usyvl.org/Volunteer.
  3. Printing the volunteer PDF form at www.usyvl.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Volunteer-Application.pdf, and emailing the completed form to Haidy Velasquez at haidy@usyvl.org.
 
 
STATE OF CALIFORNIA WORK PERMITS - REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS UNDER 18
 
Are you interested in working while in school or in the summer?
 
If you would like to work and you are not yet 18 years of age, you must have a work permit. The State of California enforces strict rules regarding the issuance of work permits.  You can find this information from The State of California Department of Industrial Relations.
