Mrs. Bejar (Assistant Principal) Introduction

My name is Martha Bejar, and I am currently the Assistant Principal at Del Mar High School. My vision is to support an equity-driven and culturally responsive school in order to create the conditions to ensure a positive and safe environment.  An environment that embraces equity, communication, and collaboration to support the individual needs of students and the school community; while enabling all stakeholders (students, teachers/ staff, and parents) to continue to be lifelong learners while exercising reflective practices, and interpersonal skills to build relationships, integrity, respect, and a growth mindset.

I graduated from San Jose State University with a Master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Counseling and Student Personnel. I possess a Pupil Personnel Services-School Counseling credential and a Pupil Personnel Services-Child Welfare and Attendance Specialization credential. I am also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. In addition, I have completed my Administrative Services Credential with the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

Prior to my administrative position at DMHS, I served as:

  • Assistant Principal at Branham High School
  • Head Counselor at Santa Teresa High School
  • Assistant to the Associate Principal at Silver Creek High School
  • School Counselor in K-12

I always value a positive and nurturing work environment that embraces equity, communication, collaboration, and accountability; my goal is to find such shared values in my future endeavors. I am super excited to join the DMHS community and partner with all stakeholders to support students to the best of our abilities.

Warm Regards,

Mrs. Bejar
